How to take measurements from your child?

You decided to buy luxury brand children clothing online. This is very easy and very comfortable way to shopping, but you should be prepared. Very important step is to take all measurements from your child: kid height in inches or centimeters , kid hat size in inches or centimeters, kid foot size in inches or centimeters.
When you are taking height measurements, make sure that you have different measures from foot to kid shoulder, from foot to the top of child had. Also, to if you want buy pants or trousers you should know what is the length from the foot to the child’s belly.
To understand for example how tall you child is, you should do the next thing. Choose some straight vertical object, for example a wall or a  door. Ask your child to stay straight with the back tightly pressed to the wall, than take some thin, straight and not soft object, for example a credit card, put it in the top of the child’s had, so that one end of the card is on the child’s had and another is touch the wall (make sure that it touch the wall at 90 degree angle) and than put the mark on the wall in that place where credit card (or other object you use) connected to the wall. So, now your child can be free and continue play his/her games and you should take centimeter and check how many centimeters from the floor to the mark on the wall. This measurement will be the exact height of your kid.
Foot size mostly depends on the child age and usually it is just enough to know how old the kid is. But just in case to prevent some misunderstanding when you buy designer kids shoes, take foot measurements too. How to do it? Take a sheet of paper and a pen, put a sheet on the floor. Ask you child to stay straight (if he/she could not stay yet, support your child). Put child’s foot on the sheet, press it to make sure that it is well connected with the sheet and floor and make at least two marks: one in front of the big toe and one in the end of the heel. Than you should take centimeter or a ruler and see how many centimeters from one mark to another. It is enough for children brand shoes. Sometimes you also need to know how wide the foot of your child is (but it is only in that rare cases when you know for sure that you kid has non-standard foot shape.
