Today ophthalmologists deny the conception that children should start wearing sunglasses only when they become teenagers. On contrary they propose for parents to think of children’s sunglasses for their kids starting from ages of 3-4 years because at this age children starting showing their independence learning the world around them. Being 3-4 years old a child is often on the open air and child’s tender skin abound his eyes and his eyes itself are affected by negative impact of sun rays which are preferred to be protected from.
Collections of the contemporary world’s designers present a special place for the line of children’s sunglasses. To create their sunglasses, they use only the most durable and harmless materials taking into account the basic requirements that are put forward to the children’s sunglasses. Sunglasses frames that are used are mostly made of plastics as ophthalmologists do not advise to buy children’s sunglasses with frame made of metal. Metal can cause strong allergic reaction of a child.
The special attention is also paid to lenses as their main purpose is to protect children’s eyes from harmful impact of sun rays. As a rule glasses, polycarbonate and acrylic plastics are used for lenses in children’s sunglasses. Modern ophthalmology could not but paying attention to improved children’s sunglasses with polarized lenses. Special polarized cover removes hotspots reflected from horizontal surface. Children’s sunglasses with such lenses permit for a child to clearly see the objects around him, don’t distort color perception. Children’s sunglasses with polarized lenses diminish eyes’ fatigue, blinding with sun reflections, improve feeling of comfort of child’s eyes when he is on the open air.
