Like many other professions, the ballet has its own uniform. Very young dancers who are taking their first steps and learn to master the movements should wear easy, almost casual clothes: girls can wear long skirts; boys will feel comfortable in shorts. For training, they can do without outfit, confining with a tight-fitting leotards and tights (or socks), which provide the necessary freedom of movement.
Children’s leotard is created by contemporary fashion designers both for boys and girls of all ages. Girls are usually offered to put tights under the leotard and the men’s leotard is worn under the shorts. Dressed in such a way leotard for boys looks like t-shirt.
It is important to determine the size. If parents want to make their own measurements, they must make sure a measurement: it is necessary to place the end of the measuring tape over one shoulder, point it down the front of the torso, between the legs, then back and up, to the same shoulder. Too small leotard will be uncomfortable and restrict movement, but no less important that it was not too big, then the shape of the body is not clear and the teacher may not notice mistakes when the positions and movements are made. It is tempting to buy leotard for growth, but it is better to avoid it.
